Now Live: ARWell PRO 5.0
Release Notes - Version 5.0
We’re thrilled to announce a huge update to the app, all driven by your valuable feedback! This release brings a fresh new look, improved functionality, and many enhancements designed to make your experience smoother, easier, and more enjoyable. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:
✨ Fresh New Look and Easier Navigation
We’ve completely redesigned the app to make it visually appealing and much easier to use. The main changes include:
A new trainer, avatar, and exercise environments for a more engaging experience.
Simplified login and session setup: When you log in, you’ll have easy access to start a session, create and edit patients, manage your programs, or view data.
Updated menu categories: Finding exercises and discovering new ones has never been easier! We’ve restructured the menus to better match the way you select exercises for your patients.
Instruction Cards: Before starting an exercise, you can now view an instruction card to better understand what’s involved in each movement.
⚙️ Custom Patient Settings & Accessibility Enhancements
We’ve made it easier than ever to personalize the app for each patient’s needs:
Customizable patient settings: Set specific preferences for weight shift mode, step height, and other settings, and they’ll automatically apply whenever you work with that patient.
Seated Mode: Walking worlds like Candy Town, Snack Land, and Nature Hike are now available in seated mode, allowing patients to raise and lower their arms to start and stop movement.
📋 Improved Program Management
We’ve heard from you that program management needed more flexibility—and we’ve delivered:
Shareable programs: Therapists in the same clinic can now mark programs as “shared” for easy access by all team members.
Easy program assignment: Quickly assign a program to multiple patients. Patients can be assigned more than one program and can easily switch between assigned programs and Free Play exercises.
More control over exercises: Therapists can select whether a patient has access to Free Play mode when creating or editing the patient. In Free Play mode, patients can now select the number of repetitions or time spent on each exercise.
🐾 New Peridot Beta Exercises
We’ve partnered with Niantic to bring their lovable Peridot into the app. These exercises can be found in the “Peridot Beta” menu, including a fun “Hide & Seek” game where players follow Peridot to find the trainer.
🗣️ New Trainer Voice
Our English-speaking trainer now has a new, clearer voice that’s easier to understand, enhancing the overall experience for users!
💪 Exercise Updates
We’ve updated several exercises to offer a more interactive and challenging experience:
Shoulder abduction: You’ll now see your image on screen, raising and lowering your arms to reveal progress.
ADL (Activities of Daily Living) sequencing tasks: New finger isolation, grasping, and hand movement requirements help patients practice more functional movements.
New exercises: We’ve added a number of new tasks, including hide & seek, plank, warrior pose, downward dog, lunge, figure 4 stretch, and more.
📦 Reduced App Size
We’ve worked hard to optimize the app's performance, and we’ve reduced its size from 3.3 GB to 1.67 GB, making it quicker to download and easier to store.
We’re excited for you to try these updates and continue sharing your thoughts with us. Your feedback is what drives these improvements, so keep it coming! If you have any questions or need support, don’t hesitate to reach out.
