Empowering Movement for All at the National Down Syndrome Society Adult Summit

Last week, the Augment Therapy team had the privilege of attending the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) Adult Summit, and we’re still buzzing with excitement! This annual gathering is a celebration of innovation, inclusion, and advocacy, bringing together individuals, families, and organizations dedicated to empowering those with Down Syndrome.

Making Movement Accessible for Everyone

At the heart of our mission is creating technology that makes wellness and movement not only accessible but also enjoyable for all abilities. Our team was thrilled to share how ARWell, our augmented reality (AR)-based wellness platform, is achieving this goal.

📱 Amy Pratt, PT, MPT, our Director of Clinical Success, led an engaging demonstration of ARWell, capturing the attention of attendees. The interactive features and gamified movement exercises had participants moving, smiling, and having a blast. Watching the joy and enthusiasm as people immersed themselves in ARWell was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

🔬 Meanwhile, Lisa Blake, our Director of Product, participated in the Summit’s research showcase. She highlighted our exciting collaboration with Dr. Sri Kurniawan from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Together, we’re exploring how ARWell can serve as a home-based wellness program for children with Down Syndrome.
