ARWell PRO v4.0 is here!
We are constantly updating our tasks based upon feedback from our users. Some of the improvements in v4.0 that you'll see right away are in tasks like ADL, Pickleball, Kickball, and 3D Worlds. We've also updated some settings so that even patients with little more than head control are able to play more games!
When you get ARWell PRO updated to v4.0, you'll see:
ADL Tasks are refreshed:
Updated tracking to improve accuracy and ease of use
Added ability to “fast forward” through the instructions
Pickleball Overhaul!
Pickleball has undergone a dramatic rework to make the activity far more dynamic and engaging! Players must now hustle from side to side and realistically swing their "paddle" to return the trainer's hits in an active and challenging volley that gets more intense the longer it goes. (It's more intense if you change the level before you start too...) Gentle camera movements frame the action as you and your opponent scamper back and forth across the court, trading returns until one of you slips up and yields the point! First to 11 wins-- it's a race to "pickle point!"
Updated Turning in 3D Worlds
To increase accessibility and ease of use, we’ve replaced the need to lift your arms to turn left and right while walking in 3D worlds like Snackland or Candy Town. Instead, the avatar will now follow your body movements naturally, so as you turn your body left or right, the avatar will as well. Please give it a try and let us know what you think-so far, the feedback from test subjects says it's much more intuitive.
Kickball has a new name, and new features, by popular demand.
Similar game, new name! Kickball is now called Goal Kick.
Player has to lift their leg (weight shift) in order to kick the ball
New background/functionality make kicking more realistic, players aim to make goals
Head Control Improvements (weight shift/lean controls)
select “seated mode” in settings. This mode is for leaning/weight shift, and can be used while standing or sitting
lean control makes the avatar move side to side in iwall/pickleball/surfing/skiing
use lean control slider in settings to select how far the person has to move (less = head movements will control side to side movement, more = weight shift, trunk lean is required)
Added a Pause Button!
New feature allowing therapists to pause exercises, providing more flexibility and control during therapy sessions. Heart rate too high? Patient didn't really understand instructions? Need to reposition? Need to do a little self-regulation practice? Pause, then go back to where you left off!
this is in BETA, so there are some exercises in which it doesn’t currently work (even though the pause button is there)- this will be improved in the next version.
Please reach out with questions, and keep sending us your ideas, success stories, and feedback!!
