Lindsay Watson, a pediatric physical therapist from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, is frustrated with the inefficiency of treating kids once per week, with no way to help them exercise on a daily basis for faster progress. She decides to solve the problem herself and Augment Therapy is born.
Augment Therapy wins the Innovation Fund of America GLIDE A and B awards and is selected to Batch 2 Plug and Play Health by Cleveland Clinic and UH-Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.
A Meeting of the Minds
Lindsay meets CTO Steve Blake, a computer programmer from Pittsfield, New Hampshire and together they develop the Augment Therapy prototype.
The first Augment Therapy feasibility pilot starts at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Telehealth Becomes a Necessity
A telehealth portal is added to the software in response to requests from beta testers whose clinics had closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Augment Therapy app becomes available for purchase.
