ARWell PRO Release Notes

Hello PRO users!!

We have created a survey for providers. PLEASE share with all of your providers, so we can gather some real information from our users.

I'm sending the latest notes for the new release of ARWell PRO-- please be sure you're updated to v2.1.2 so you're seeing all of the newest features! Also, please share with everyone in your facility using PRO!

Here are the highlights from our developers, with some added commentary from me, as a therapist:

The task menu has been updated and looks a little different since the last release notes were sent, which you have probably already noticed. Air Writing, Memory Cards, and ADLs are all under "OT Activities" (a more accurate category name and icon are up for grabs, if anyone has brilliant ideas, because as a PT, I use Air Writing and Memory Cards as 2 of my most used tasks for strengthening!)

PROGRAMS/HOME USE UPDATE:

In previous releases, patients logging in to ARWell PRO would have access to free play whether their therapists had created a program or not. If they had a program, free play would automatically be accessed after the completion of the program.

In this release, and in all releases moving forward, if a program has not been assigned, patients logging in with their unique QR code will receive a message saying they do not have an assigned program and to contact their healthcare provider. (They are still able to access telehealth.)

To give access to free play, therapists can add it at the END of a program. It can be found in the "wellness" menu when creating a program.

Air Writing:

Added lower case letters (yay!!!!)

Added word associations

Updated formations of all letters, numbers, and shapes to be more correct, according to our OT users!

Air Writing with Elmo:

[to access Sesame characters, remember, settings gear icon in lower left corner, advanced, special character toggle on, password cookie]

Added lower case letters, numbers, and shapes

Added word associations (Elmo says "C for cat")

Bowling: (this is a 1 or 2 player game!)

Updates based on feedback to improve game play with two players.

**Interested in additional feedback-we know this game could be amazing, but it's pretty difficult to aim, as it stands at the moment.**

Calibration:

In order to improve the user experience, we’ve added a calibration step before all exercises that require the feet. This calibration ensures that the user is standing in the correct place for the exercise to work properly. (you can skip calibration in the bottom right corner if you know you can use the task differently than it was originally intended)

Character/trainer selector:

Users can easily change their own character or trainer, including adding a wheelchair or crutches.

This can be accessed in the ‘settings’ menu, on bottom left, blue words.

Currently, wheelchair and crutches settings will only appear in 3D worlds, but we will be adding this functionality to all exercises in the near future.

Please continue to share your experiences, your fun stories, little wins, big wins, and your suggestions—we want the app to work for you and your practice!

We look forward to hearing from you!
